Carlow Town Surface Water Drainage Scheme, Flood Relief Scheme Phase A and Water.
Conservation Project Phase 2
Upgrading of the existing sewerage network by constructing new storm and foul sewer
lines, surface water and overflow chambers and pumping stations around the town of
Carlow.
Watermain rehabilitation works include laying new mains to replace existing services,
transferring service connections and installing new sluice valve chambers, hydrants and air
valves.
Flood protection works between Montgomery Street and Carlow Weir consist of flood
defence walls and embankments.
The scheme encompasses the Kernanstown Serviced Land Initiative which consists of
new sewers, and overflow chamber, a pumping station and rising main linking
Kernanstown to the main drainage network.
